distinction
On-Yomi: サ — Kun-Yomi: さ.す、さ.し
Elements:
distinction, wool, sheep, craft
Primitive:
wool (welna) This rather uncommon primitive is made by pulling the tail of the sheep to one side to create a semienclosure. The meaning of wool is derived from the fact that the shearer is holding the sheep by the tail in order to trim its wool. [7]
Heisig story:
Wool . . . craft.
Koohii stories:
1) [astgtciv] 3-6-2007(224): This New-Zealand pro-gamer has won many distinctions playing WoolCraft (a massively multi-user game in which the goal is to shear sheep).
2) [samueruht] 26-1-2008(164): The distinction between fine and common wool, is the craftsmanship of the wool.
3) [dicedice] 5-8-2007(141): Noob players make no distinction between what games they play, whether it's the geniune thing or a bootleg fake copy. The biggest example of course, would be the legit World of Warcraft and the biggest ripoff there is: World of Wool-craft!
4) [tuuli] 11-12-2007(40): Since all sheep look alike, it is hard to make a distinction between them. You have to learn the craft of telling them apart by their wool.
5) [saxman_52] 12-6-2009(18): A distinction must be made between "World of Warcraft" and "Wool over Craft.".
