trunk

On-Yomi: ドウ

Elements:

trunk, moon, month, flesh, part of the body, same, monks, hood, one, mouth

Heisig story:

The word trunk refers to the part of the body that is left when you have "truncated" all the limbs. I can hardly think of any reason for doing so, unless one were lumberjacking corpses and needed to have them all properly pruned and made the same so they could be floated downstream without causing a body-jam.

Koohii stories:

1) [scottamus] 16-11-2005(186): A trunk, a trunk // The body of a monk // The body of a monk in a trunk, a trunk.

2) [dwhitman] 2-10-2007(157): Dead flesh all looks the same when you chop off everything but the trunk. Yes, I'm appalled at how gruesome this story is too.

3) [SammyB] 13-10-2008(80): The trunk (torso) of everyone's body is mostly the same.

4) [Dualta] 12-3-2008(41): Under the MOON the kinky MONKS bare their TRUNKS.

5) [jHerbin] 25-3-2010(30): Your trunk (torso) is where the body parts meet at the same place.
